Chisel Montessori

Board Examinations & Future Pathways

Where this journey leads — and what your child carries forward.

At the end of their time at Chisel, learners appear as a private candidate and hold a recognised certification — NIOS or IGCSE — chosen by the child in conversation with their family, grounded in the portfolio they have built and the years of understanding we have of who they are. Chisel provides the full academic preparation, mentorship, and structured support to reach that point well. The learning happens here. The credential comes through the board.
This structure is deliberate. Because Chisel is not bound to a single board’s syllabus, children are taught to understand deeply — and are genuinely ready to meet any board’s requirements when the time comes.

NIOS

National Institute of Open Schooling, Government-recognised. Accepted by every Indian college. Valid for all competitive exam pathways. Flexible enough to allow internships and real-world engagement alongside formal academics — through Grade 10 and Grade 12.

IGCSE

A globally recognised Grade 10 qualification for learners seeking international pathways, while continuing within the same learning philosophy and environment they have grown up in.

On competitive exams

Chisel does not steer children toward competitive exams as a default. The foundations are strong. The NIOS structure allows focused preparation for those who choose it. The choice stays with the child and the family.

What learners carry forward

Clarity about their interests. A portfolio of real work. A recognised qualification. The confidence to move in any direction they choose.
